HORRIBLE MOUNTAIN BIKING AND CYCLING INJURIES – WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT

Horrible mountain biking and cycling injuries are something that will occasionally haunt you whether you want it or not. Let’s face it. Shit happens. If it hasn’t happened yet, it probably will. You never know when and where you might fall off your bike. This can happen anytime and anywhere. Even on the easiest of the trails or simple XC roads. The outcome of your fall will mainly depend on 4 factors. How lucky you are – How stupid/crazy you are – How well you are trained to save the situation – And how well you are padded. The first one is not really up to you. The rest is entirely up to you.

Being smart and able to judge your limits is something you should learn even before you sit on the mountain bike. A little bit of gymnastics training will definitely help with your spatial awareness and teach you to fall in a safer way. The last one actually could also describe how stupid you are. Broken bones, lacerations, eye injuries, broken backs, etc. Good protection gear could prevent or at least diminish the outcome of many of these horrible mountain biking injuries.
